City of Light live showroom success
From 29th-31st October Thorn attracted more than 360 customers to its second City of Light event in Landskrona, Sweden.
A unique collaboration between Thorn Lighting, Landskrona city and the School of Engineering in Jönköping, the first part of the event included indoor seminars. Västervång School functioned as a ‘live’ indoor showroom where lighting with control options was presented.
In the afternoon customers were able to interact with luminaires, including the new Contrast 2 LED, which was demonstrated within the picturesque Citadel walls.
The evening included a tour around Lanskrona where the dimming capabilities of Thorn’s luminaires, including Avenue and Plurio, were shown to full effect. The tour included a stop at Landskrona Town Hall where representatives from Ungt Lys in Denmark, taking part in the City of Light programme spoke confidently and passionately about their involvement in creating four different scenes for the façade, all based around the effects of changing light on the sea during a day.
To conclude the event there was a medieval banquet held within the Citadel – the perfect end to a very successful few days.
