Nordic Highlights Tour
A series of events designed to inspire with light
Various inspiring evening events under the headline of a Nordics Highlights tour will take place in February and March. The events will consist of engaging talks and the presentation of product highlights.
The tour starts in February 2015 with the following dates and cities:

After an initial welcome, visitors will be treated to a seminar on Smart Cities and Future Trends by Iain Macrae, Head of Global Lighting Applications Management at Thorn Lighting and a lighting industry figure head. Iain explains when asked to summarise his talk, “The transition to LED has been more revolutionary than any other new technology effecting lighting. In this seminar we will explore all the possibilities LED opens for smart city lighting, its effect on inhabitants as well as city managers and the control it gives them. The future is centred on lighting but are citizens really prepared for it?”
The second seminar is titled Nordic Light by Snøhetta, the international integrated architecture, landscape, interior, branding and design firm who designed the 2013/14 Zumtobel Group annual report. The creative Snøhetta team look at the phenomenon of light in the Arctic Circle, presenting the portraits of four individuals who have been living in this region for 100 years.
On top of this, with Denmark’s target to be carbon neutral by 2025, we are extensively trialling solar based solutions, such as Adelie Sun. So far the response from customers has been really positive; they are excited to see all these solutions in one place and in real applications.”
